October 24,2004-I'll be the featured guest reader at THE BOO BRUNCH at the Atwood Cafe in the beautiful Hotel Burhnam in downtown Chicago. The Hotel/Cafe is on the corner of State and Washington, across the street from Marshall Fields and Old Navy.
The BOO BRUNCH features delicious fare with a Halloween theme. Children are encouraged to come in costume.(I'll be gussied up from my head to my feet,Scary Godmother party dresses are spookily sweet) And at 10am, 11 am and 12pm, hotel employees they will escort them to the cozy lobby fireplace where I'll be reading the Boo Flu.This is a reservations only event, and the Cafe seats 80, so check with the hotel for availability. Scary Godmother books and dvds will be available for sale after each reading.
I'll try to keep my mimosa consumption to a minimum between readings so the 12 noon reading doesn't sound like Slurry Godmother...Ha! That might be funny. But, No! Just kidding...of course!

I'll get a copy of the press release and post it this week. It lists the delicious menu in great detail.

The Scary Godmother Holiday Spooktakular will be airing on the Cartoon Network at7pm Central time October 1, 2004!
There will be an additional showing just in time for Halloween on October 30th! I think that one is at 5pm,but as of this typing I'm not positive. Check your local listings during the week of Halloween, just to be sure.

The dvd and video of the special is available all over the place through Anchor Bay distribution.
Where, you ask? Well, online of course, at Amazon.com and other internet stores and at retail outlets such as K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Borders and Best Buy. I've seen it for sale at comics shops and at record stores that carry dvds, so look around!
Hopefully, we'll become a holiday classic!

The DVD has also been reviewed as "an instant" classic in the October issue of Parenting magazine. If I can figure out how to attach it as a jpeg, you'll find it elsewhere on the website.

Hi, comics fans. I hope you like the very clicky new website I've got at comicbookpros.com. There are many things to click on and see with much more on the way. I've even got a blog dealie here so I can answer faq and keep you updated on all the Scary Godmother/Jill stuff you need to know.

I'm busy working on a new Manga for DC Comics called The Dead Boy Detectives. It's a mystery starring the two little dead students, Rowland and Payne, that were introduced in Sandman: Season of Mists. Last year's Death: At Death's Door was such a hit that Vertigo greenlit another project right away.

Tales from Wrescal Lane by Mick Foley and Jill Thompson available through WWE Pocket Books a division of Simon and Schuster.
Mick Foley has written some children's stories featuring the WWE Superstars as children and I made them all wee and cute. Available early fall from everywhere, I believe.

WitchCraft an anthology by Dark Horse featuring another story with those dogs and that cat from the Eisner nominated Hauntings, written by Evan Dorkin and illustrated by me.

Scary Godmother Halloween Spooktakular will air on Cartoon Network this October and be available on DVD and Video from Anchor Bay. Yay!

Hmm. There are lots of other things things in the works, like toys and handbags and books but I should wait til the next time I s'pose. So things are definite and I can post pictures.
